How do you get your hair to grow back?
An 18-year-old student at the University of Colorado Springs is on the verge of getting his hair back, after the transplant process failed.
Dr. Roberta Johnson says her son was diagnosed with melanoma and has a tumor in his eye, which causes a loss of vision in his left eye.
Johnson says she started looking into the possibility of a hair transplant when she started seeing other patients undergoing hair transplants.
“The only thing I was concerned about was that the doctors didn’t tell me that this was a permanent condition, and so I was wondering if maybe I should go to an oncologist or a dermatologist or something like that to get it done,” Johnson said.
Johnson says her parents are very happy with the result, and they plan to celebrate with a party for the surgery on Jan. 4.
Johnson said her parents also plan to give the hair transplant a go at a hair salon.
