Dejan Lovren: The future looks bright for the Serbian international
Dejan Jankovic: The Serbian international could leave Liverpool this summer for a transfer fee of around €40 million but the Reds are ready to offer the striker a new contract.
The Reds have already rejected an offer from Borussia Dortmund for Lovren, who has scored just seven goals in 19 appearances for the club this season.
The 27-year-old was reportedly offered a five-year deal worth around €55 million but his agent says the price is not on the table.
“The offer was €40m, but there was a chance that the player could come to Liverpool, which was then rejected,” said agent Vojislav Krivoruch.
“It’s the player’s future that I am talking about.
It’s not just my client, but all the players in the club.
We’ve offered all our best.
The player has said that he is ready to leave the club.”
The Croatian international is currently on loan at Vitesse Arnhem but is set to return to the Reds for next season.
The transfer window opens on Wednesday and could see the forward join Liverpool in the summer.
